NEXT: Global Shorts
'Next' is the generic name for a series of festivals that deal with youth film-making and gives us a good idea about next-generation film-making. Most of the films tend to come from well-known film schools around the world. The first edition is called 'Next: Global Shorts' (Mumbai, July, 2012) and will be followed by 'Next-Ibero-American Shorts' (Delhi, 2012) and 'Next: Indian Shorts' (across several cities of Europe and Latin America). 'Rediscovering Tagore' (Amaranta, 2011)
Amaranta is the publishing imprint of the Indo-Latin American Cultural Initiative (ILACI). It is dedicated to publishing Indian literature in Spanish and vice versa. Its first title, 'Redescubriendo a Tagore' (eds. Shyama Prasad Ganguly & Indranil Chakravarty) was supported by Sahitya Akademi (India) and the Spanish Embassy in India. Currently there are five titles in preparation.
